✨ About Kimberly Christine

Seeker of stories, keeper of crossings, Teacher of the Mystical

As a northern lake girl growing up in Duluth—Minnesota’s chilliest city—Kimberly Christine had the perfect backdrop for an adventurous only child with a wild imagination. A lifelong fan of the dark side, she loved all things spooky. Fear wasn’t something to avoid; it was a thrilling adrenaline rush. Even as a kid, she reveled in making things weirder, more unique, more her—whether that meant sewing her own clothes to stand out from the store-bought crowd or scaring herself silly for fun.

Her creative path first led to cosmetology, but four years behind the chair wasn’t quite the excitement she craved. Drawn back to the natural world (witch, naturally), she returned to college in Superior, Wisconsin, enrolling in Marine Biology and Natural Sciences. But a work-study gig in the university’s Theatre Department—building sets, sewing costumes, styling hair and makeup—ignited a spark that had been smoldering all along: her future was in the entertainment world.

That spark led her to California, earning an MFA in Theatre and Film from Cal State Humboldt, with a focus on Special Makeup Effects and Creature Design. She was soon invited to side-step into costume design as a graduate assistant. After graduation, it was either L.A. or Vegas, baby! So the desert it was… There, she stitched and transformed performers at Cirque du Soleil and Blue Man Group.  Seven years and three overuse injuries later, Kimberly pivoted into wellness and healing. But a move to Savannah, Georgia for her husband’s film career unexpectedly pulled her back into the world of makeup FX, through local photographers, indie filmmakers, and even a reality show prank. Living in America’s most haunted city exposed her to the paranormal tourism industry, where she worked part-time as a paranormal investigator and tour guide—racking up “dark side” credentials and even appearing as a background actor on Ghost Adventures at a haunted property she guided. (But that’s another conversation…

She also contributed as part of an award-winning film crew for Project Yellowlight’s “Underworld” commercial, promoting safe driving. But Savannah was short-lived, and another chapter led back to California, freelancing on indie projects and whimsical photoshoots and starting her first Ghost Tour on Hollywood Blvd, City of Dark Angels Tours!  She had traveled to India six times with her husband and immersed herself into the culture. But like many creative souls, L.A.’s tumultuous hustle eventually took its toll after 3-yrs. After a tough separation and divorce, she packed up her scars, her blood (the FX kind), and her dreams, and relocated to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, to heal and rebuild with family.

There, she became a licensed massage therapist and Reiki Master for both people and animals.  And started her second Ghost Tour, Havasu Hauntings, at the London Bridge eventually landing her a part on Ghost Adventures right before COVID, which when aired, was viewed by millions during lockdown!  But, after 5 yrs, she needed to escape the desert…

In 2022, after 23 years away, Kimberly returned to Duluth to be closer to family, where she continues her healing work and Reiki certifications, while reigniting her connection to the entertainment world she left behind by starting her third haunted biz, Duluth Ghost Tours! Where she continues research in the paranormal, and deepens her spiritual practice.

Now, she’s excited to launch her podcast in 2025, blending her love for storytelling, the supernatural, healing, and creative entrepreneurship—proof that no matter where the river leads, she’s still ferrying stories across the twilight.
